Where the patience comes from

Endurance

Long-distance running and cycling — multiple marathons, half-marathons and long rides, working towards an IRONMAN. Nothing teaches you to sit with discomfort for hours quite like it, which is most of what deep research is.

The Western Ghats

An avid hiker: monoliths, hills and trails across the Western Ghats. Route planning, weather and turning back when the numbers say so — the same discipline, on rock.

Games & captaincy

Chess and sudoku for the strategic thinking, audiobooks for everything else. Captained my house football team to consecutive golds in the 9th and 10th, and the interdepartmental cricket team through both years of PUC.
